Those who for some reason try to circumvent location-related web surfing restrictions now have a new way of doing this. Cloudnymous, the first cloud-based anonymity service promises complete Internet privacy and strong security – at an affordable price.
The service was established a couple of months ago but it was only earlier this month that it went out from beta testing period and became available to all users. Cloudnymous promises to solve the two most important problems related to web browsing: security and privacy. Many users may want to access particular websites that might be prohibited or otherwise unavailable in their country. To access such websites or simply to avoid being tracked, users may rely on Cloudnymous.
“Cloudnymous is perfect for US visitors who want to watch Hulu or listen Pandora overseas, to Asian users wanting to open public sites restricted by local laws and simply for those who want to keep privacy while surfing the Internet”, says Ruslan Sologub, a lead developer of the company, in their press release.
The users can choose any of nine different servers currently offered and set it as their location for surfing the web. Some of their servers are free and some are charged on pay-per-use principle. This means that you can choose to pay daily or monthly fee depending on your needs. Besides this, Cloudnymous allows you to shift from one server to another at any time.
Cloudnymous uses strong traffic encryption algorithms to provide fully protected web surfing. They claim to have everything encrypted – website and VPN traffic, as well as internal traffic and communications. Cloud infrastructure also contributes to overall security of using the service, as cloud servers are much better prepared against third-party intrusions than traditional data centers. Besides this, all the data are spread across different servers so even if they are hacked it is impossible to steal information.
Cloudnymous is located in the Republic of Moldova with the servers all over the world.
