A datacenter that stores a large volume of business critical data should be configured with enough redundancy in the array to ensure that if a hard drive fails, restoring the failed component is a breeze. This is where hot-swappable drive bays come in handy – a system that automates data back-up and recovery processes save staff from a frustrating experience. This way a business can save significant amounts of revenue when a failure that could have halted operations entirely for a long period of time is resolved within minutes.
